Hull City and Bristol City are two professional football clubs that participate in the English Football League.
Hull City Association Football Club, commonly referred to as Hull City, was founded in 1904 and is based in Hull, East Yorkshire, England. The club's home ground is the KCOM Stadium, and their traditional colors are black and amber. Hull City has played in all four tiers of English football and has had quite a tumultuous history. They have been promoted to the Premier League five times, the last being in the 2016-17 season, but have also been relegated five times, including in the 2019-20 season. Hull City has never won any major trophy, but they have won the Football League Championship playoffs in 2008 and reached the FA Cup final in 2014.
Bristol City Football Club, on the other hand, was established in 1894 and is based in Bristol, England. The club's home ground is Ashton Gate Stadium, and they play in red and white colors. Bristol City has also played in all four tiers of English football, but they have remained in the second or third tier for most of their existence. The club has won a few minor trophies, including the Football League Trophy twice, in 1986 and 2015, and the Football League Third Division South title in 1923-24. Bristol City has come close to achieving promotion to the Premier League in recent years, finishing fifth in the 2017-18 Championship season but losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the playoffs.
